The Extreme Totem Pole Race is held annually at the Hood Scout Reservation and is both hosted by and benefits the Andrew Jackson Council of BSA. In addition to a beautiful 5K or 10K tromp through the woods, registration also included post-run zip-lining! You tell me one other race that ends with zip-lining!!
I was *beyond* excited for my triumphant #Return2Racing at the Mississippi Gulf Coast Marathon, especially after such a lengthy COVID-induced racing hiatus! I was so excited, in fact, that I PR’d both events.Quarantine does a runner good, I suppose. 😉
Ten 5ks in 24 hours?? They say, “What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.” I don’t know about that, but “what doesn’t kill you” definitely gives you a great story to tell! It was truly a unique experience; read on for a glimpse inside how it all went down.
