The Extreme Totem Pole Race is held annually at the Hood Scout Reservation and is both hosted by and benefits the Andrew Jackson Council of BSA. In addition to a beautiful 5K or 10K tromp through the woods, registration also included post-run zip-lining! You tell me one other race that ends with zip-lining!!
I was *beyond* excited for my triumphant #Return2Racing at the Mississippi Gulf Coast Marathon, especially after such a lengthy COVID-induced racing hiatus! I was so excited, in fact, that I PR’d both events.Quarantine does a runner good, I suppose. 😉
The Run Run Rudolph 5k/10k race looked a little different this year than in years past but there’s just nothing like a finish line, even in 2020!
The Trick or Treat Trot 5k was ALL treats and NO tricks! That morning, I actually ran the NYC Marathon (virtually) but I JUST HAD TO ATTEND!! I love dressing up in costume, and this year we had a super special reason to do so.
You had me at race HOODIE and SNOWGLOBE finisher medal!! Bodies Race Company – Jackson once again delivers on their promise for cool swag and a fun holiday-themed event.
“Run run Rudolph, Santa’s got to make it to town!” In this case, Santa *did* make it to the lovely town of Brookhaven just in time to collect “Toys for Tots” and see runners off at the “Run Run Rudolph 5k, 10k, and 1-Mile Kids Run.”
In a sea of franchise race series, Magnolia Marathon is truly a hidden gem. With all the same amenities you’ll find at a chain event (and many you won’t) without the corporate price tag. The Magnolia Marathon offers the same benefits as a big-time race, but with a home-town feel!
We wiggled AND we waggled all the way to the 5k finish line! If you’re looking for a unique way to support your local shelter while spending a little quality time with #MansBestFriend, then this is the 5k for you!
We splashed. We dashed. We had a SOAKING WET good time in Brookhaven, MS!! I came “locked and loaded” and was drenched by the time I left. (Mostly because I started a water gun fight, buuuuutttttt, none the less!) This race was advertised as “the wettest 5k of the year,” and that promise was definitely fulfilled. 🙂
